Costa Ricans are generally warm and friendly to visitors. However, there are social and cultural dynamics at play when thousands of new visitors enter what were previously very rural and secluded agricultural communities and visit delicate ecosystems. This site will explore these dynamics and will share information gathered from surveying the Costa Rican population with regards to foreigners coming in the thousands to see their backyard.
